The NNECDSG Registries

The NNECDSG acts on behalf of the member institutions, as an extension of their quality improvement efforts, to develop and maintain registries on all patients receiving cardiac surgery, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), transcatheter percutaneous aortic valve and other structural heart procedures at 6 medical centers in northern New England. Data are collected by trained data abstractors at each hospital then sent to the research site for inclusion in the registries. Data are periodically validated to insure that all procedures are included in the registry and that important endpoints have been accurately assessed. Twice a year the data is used to generate a standard series of reports describing regional and institutional experiences. These reports show trends over time, number of procedures, patient and disease characteristics, process characteristics, and crude and adjusted in-hospital outcomes. The Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery Report is based on the last 500 isolated CABG procedures performed at each of the member institutions. This report includes data from all sites that have at least 500 cases. If you have any questions regarding this report, please contact us.  Our risk prediction tools are available on line, see decision making tools.
